B found a door into Keith Haring's world and he walked right in.
Keith Haring learned to draw in New York — not in a classroom, but in the subway. Bold outlines. Flat colour. A visual language so immediate it needed no translation. A crawling baby, a barking dog, a dancing figure — icons that carried enormous weight with almost nothing. A figure rendered in a single unbroken line, bending and forming; meaning everything.
I grew up in New York until I was 14. Haring's characters were part of the city's texture — on t-shirts, posters and gallery walls. That visual language stuck with me and manifested itself into inspiration that created B.
B has always carried something of the same instinct — a simple figure, no fixed features, saying a lot by being very little. Putting B inside Haring's world felt less like an artistic decision and more like a reunion through time travel.
The 'B-eith Haring' Series is B doing what B does — wandering in, playing hide and seek in someone else's universe, trying on the costumes, getting lost in the energy. Just another adventure in a growing world.
